Lauren grew up in Peoria, Illinois, and worked for OSF HealthCare when she was in high school. She learned early that the Mission of OSF HealthCare was in alignment with her values.

"I enjoy listening to people, understanding their concerns and making a treatment plan that they feel comfortable with," Lauren said. "I like to have the time to get to know my patients and build a trusting relationship."

Lauren believes in being prepared before she sees a patient.

"I know a lot about each patient prior to meeting them for the first time. It's my goal that patients do not feel like they have to "retell" their story over and over again," Lauren said. "I also engage the patient in decision making. I give options for care based on their comfort level while giving my professional opinion."

She has many hobbies, including running, painting, gardening and sewing. She also loves reading and the ladies in her book club.
