Lena places a lot of importance on connecting with her patients to create strong relationships. She’s great at listening and understands it’s the basis for building that connection.
“An appointment with me is all about connecting,” she said. “My goal is to address their concerns and ensure they leave feeling heard and confident in the plan we’ve come up with.”
Her father was the first to recognize she may be a good fit for the medical community. She took his advice and pursued a career in nursing.
“I love family medicine because I can care for people throughout their lifespan,” she said. “I also have a passion for primary prevention and community health.”
Lena grew up in LaSalle, lived in a Chicago for a while and is thrilled to be back in the Illinois River Valley. She is married with two children. Lena is active at her church, loves being outdoors, cooking for her family and summer trips to the beach.
My goal is to meet patients where they are on their health journey and partner with them so they can be as healthy as possible. I do this through active listening, building relationships, educating and providing high quality, evidence-based care.
