Dr. Tiger Onsen is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. Raised in Coal City, Illinois, his early passion for sports shaped his career path. After earning his medical degree and completing his residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, he went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at the orthopedic clinic at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles.

Inspired by his own experiences with sports injuries, Dr. Onsen chose orthopedic surgery for its ability to combine his love for surgery and musculoskeletal anatomy, helping patients restore function and return to the activities they enjoy. His patient-centered approach emphasizes education, advocacy and mutual respect, ensuring patients feel confident in their care and treatment plans. 

In his free time, Dr. Onsen enjoys spending time outdoors, watching movies and following Chicago sports with his wife and young son – cheering for every team except the White Sox.
