“I like to talk to my patients and find out about their concerns. I also enjoy teaching my patients, because an informed patient is a patient who is more likely to follow their plan of care and have good outcomes. Education is key.”
Leonor chose to pursue a career in nursing because she has always felt drawn to helping others. She fell in love with medicine and made it her life goal to care for others. She chose OSF HealthCare because the Mission, Vision and Values align with her own.
She has been a registered nurse for 23 years and has spent the majority of her health care career in the southwest suburbs. She also worked in Oak Lawn for many years and is happy to be part of a well-established team providing care to the community.
Leonor grew up on the north side of Chicago. She is married and has three grown children and a dog. She loves to read and drink coffee and is also fluent in Spanish. “Nothing is better than a good book and a hot cup of coffee.”
