Dr. Derum has always been fascinated by the problem-solving skills required when practicing medicine. Those skills enable her to improve quality of life for her patients.
“Psychiatry allows me to help the whole person in a way that improves not only their own life, but also the lives of those they love,” she said.
Dr. Derum has lived in the Champaign-Urbana area since 1990 where she enjoys the diversity of the residents and the many activities offered in the community.
