Lisa believes in providing respectful and equal care to all people. She puts her patients and their families at ease, while providing them with education and care that empowers them to make the best, informed decisions about their health care.
Lisa Hickman, DNP, APRN, CNM joined the OSF HealthCare team in 2012, when she began her journey as an LPN/OB Tech. Gradually, she found her passion within the organization, completing nursing school and eventually pursuing graduate studies. Her educational experience fostered her expertise while aligning with OSF's Mission of delivering compassionate care to families. Residing in Rockford, Lisa considers OSF not just a workplace but a familial community that propelled her evolution into an advanced practice provider.
Passionate about patient trust and comfort, Lisa cherishes her role as a midwife. Beyond the miraculous moments of childbirth, she finds fulfillment in guiding patients through diagnoses and collaborating with fellow providers to ensure exemplary care. Lisa's dedication extends beyond clinical walls; she is married and has three daughters who keep them very busy, and she volunteers in her community. She is also an adjunct faculty member at UIC College of Nursing in Rockford.
