Dr. Shahid wants the people she cares for to feel informed and supported throughout their health care journey.

“Their well-being is my top priority, and I’m here to help every step of the way,” she said.

The idea of a career in medicine began at an early age for Dr. Shahid. It started when her father became ill.

“I noticed how doctors relieved him of his pain. I wanted to do the same thing for people,” she said.

Dr. Shahid is an internist and feels it’s a field where she can make a real difference in the lives of others.

“I am able to think deeply about diagnosis and treatment and consider the needs of the whole patient,” she said. “It also allows me to work with providers across multiple specialties. Together, we can do better for the patient.” 

Dr. Shahid grew up in Pakistan. She loves to travel, watch movies, spend time with family and try new restaurants.
