Dr. Rivera followed in her mother's footsteps to become a doctor, inspired by her mother's role as a small-town physician. She deeply admired her mother’s compassion, intelligence and dedication to her community.
Becoming a pediatrician felt like a calling. Dr. Rivera feels it’s a wonderful combination of work and fun because of the chance to work with children.
“I want patients and families to feel that they are well taken care of and know that I will team up with them to provide information in a way that is accessible,” she said.
Dr. Rivera is married with three children. Outside of her role as a pediatrician, she loves being adventurous, learning and having new experiences.
