Dr. Estrada-O’Brien has deep ties to the Mendota area and wants to give back to the community she grew up in. She looks forward to helping patients and their families and also working with the local Spanish speaking community as a bilingual and bicultural individual.
“An appointment with me consists of active listening and creating dialogue that will allow me to best understand you as a person,” she said. “This allows me to help people understand their conditions, address concerns and keep health maintenance items up to date.I want patients to feel empowered to improve their own health.”
Dr. Estrada-O’Brien is drawn to public health initiatives that address the social determinants of health and preventative care. These interventions are crucial in achieving health equity among underserved populations, including rural and minority populations. She believes the best avenue in medicine to address these social determinants of health at all ages is at the ground level, which is that of primary care and family medicine.
Dr. Estrada-O’Brien lives in Mendota with her husband, and they enjoy going on walks with their dog Valentina. In her free time, she also enjoys knitting, sewing, drawing and spending time with family and friends.
