Having grown up in Bradford, Illinois, small communities are home to Meghan Weber.

"I have always lived in a small community and love how everyone looks out for another," Meghan said.

That's why serving the OSF HealthCare Mission at OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee is like home to Meghan.

"I love how friendly everyone is here at OSF Saint Luke. When you walk down the hall, you are addressed by your name and a friendly, 'Hello, how are you?' Everyone works as a team to provide the best care for our patients."

Meghan went to high school at Bureau Valley in Manlius, Illinois. Having always felt the need to help others, nursing was a clear path for her since the age of 15. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria. She chose family medicine because she wanted to be a part of the communities where she grew up and where she currently lives.

"I want to provide care to not only one population or treat one disease process, but care for a family holistically," Meghan said.

In treating patients, it's important to Meghan to build a trusting relationship with them.

"I strive to provide compassionate care to each patient," she said. "I want my patients to be open and honest with me and feel that I have given them my undivided attention, addressing any of the concerns they may have."

Meghan's family includes her husband, Dustin, their 8-month-old daughter, Evelyn, and her stepdaughter, Jovie, 8. She enjoys traveling with her husband, with Hawaii being one of the more beautiful spots they've visited. She enjoys sports, particularly the Chicago Cubs, Dallas Cowboys and Duke basketball.

She is involved with her church and helps to educate community members on health issues.
