I provide individualized care, forming a partnership with my patients and their families to provide them not only the highest quality care but educating them on their health care.
Melissa began her career with OSF HealthCare at age 17, working as a unit secretary and monitor technician. After becoming a nurse practitioner, she knew it was where she wanted to return.
"I loved working for OSF and believed in the Mission and Vision as a Catholic health care system," she said. "OSF always puts the patient first regardless of their ability to pay."
Melissa credits her own pediatrician for her desire to pursue a career in family medicine.
"He was a great mentor and role model as to what an excellent health care provider exemplified," she said. "He taught me what true compassion, trust, respect and empathy was. I knew I wanted to care for people in that same way and that led me to where I am today."
Appointments with Melissa are patient-centered. "I am here to advocate for you in coordinating your care throughout the health care system."
When not working, she is active with her two sons and their sports. Melissa enjoys traveling – especially aboard a cruise ship – and visits Disney at least once a year.
