My approach is to provide comprehensive care to children with GI problems. I also try to educate patients and their families about the disease process, diagnostic approach and potential treatment options to encourage their participation in management process to achieve our common goal "well being of children."
M. Rehan Khan, MD, enjoys the opportunity to help his pediatric patients, as well as their families.
"I try to make sure that they are comfortable during the appointment and have clear understanding of problem and treatment plan by the end of visit. This helps to alleviate unnecessary worries that are sometimes a bigger challenge than the problem itself," Dr. Khan said.
During his fellowship training at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Khan learned how to incorporate cutting edge research and innovative ideas into clinical practice to help his patients.
"I am looking forward to being able to continue the same practice here by incorporating recent advances in Pediatric GI specialty into my clinical practice to help the kids with GI problems."
