I aim to deliver the highest quality of evidence based medicine while caring for the physical, mental, social, and spiritual concerns of the people I serve.
Dr. Simon grew up in a small town in rural southwest Wisconsin. The small town atmosphere instilled a desire to help others and was a perfect place for him to mold his values.
"I knew from when I was young that I wanted to be in a career that allowed me to be around people all day and help them to the best of my ability," Dr. Simon said. "But I did not know until I was in college that being a doctor was the best fit for me."
He believes that Family Medicine is the most important kind of medicine, a combination of the management of acute and chronic conditions as well as preventative care. And he enjoys being on the "frontlines" every day, serving patients who need and deserve quality care.
"I always strive to provide the best evidence-based medicine for my patients," Dr. Simon said. "At the same time, life is not all about medicine. A happy mind and spirit translates to a healthy body, and the OSF Mission 'to serve persons with the greatest care and love' reinforces my values of what quality care is for a patient."
Dr. Simon enjoys reading, volunteering, coaching, playing sport, fishing, grilling and playing cards.
