Background

My approach to care is to treat each patient individually and holistically. I want them to feel comfortable and open up about their concerns so we can individualize their care plan to reach their personal health goals.

Biography

Rachel grew up in Princeton, Illinois, and knew from the time she was a little girl that health care was her calling. Her life has been an ongoing journey to be the best health care provider she can be.

"I spent a lot of time in the hospital when I was younger with asthma. So from a young age, I was always drawn to nursing from the role models that cared for me," Rachel said. "I knew I always wanted to get my master's and become a nurse practitioner, but I wanted to make sure I had a great foundation of nursing first that is why I worked as a nurse for nine years."

Her philosophy is to put the patient first.

"My approach to care is to treat each patient individually and holistically. I want them to feel comfortable and be able to open up to me about their concerns, hardships and personal issues," Rachel said. "That way, we can individualize their care plan and help them reach their personal health goals."

Rachel strives to promote a relationship of openness, honesty and trust with her patients and wants them to know that they are her number one priority.

"I give them my undivided attention to answer any questions they may have," Rachel said. "I want them to feel just as confident with their plan of care as I do at the end of their appointment."

Rachel chose to follow the path of Family Practice because it allows her to use her education and skills to provide care to all age ranges and provide help with numerous conditions.

Her family includes husband, Drew; son, Parker; daughter, Andi; and their newest addition, daughter, Leah. They also have a black lab, Deke.

"I love spending time with family and friends, most weekends are spent getting together with other couples and their kids for playdates," Rachel said. "We love attending sporting events, particularly the St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers games. I also do photography, and I am a recent board member for the Bureau County United Way."
