Dr. Indorkar grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and loves the contrast of the Rockford community. "What I love about Rockford is that it's far from the hustle and bustle of the big city, yet has all the amenities of a big city," she said.

Dr. Indorkar says she chose the path of cardiology because she loved the challenge. "Nothing is more fascinating to me than the heart. I enjoy the special challenge of treating cardiovascular conditions."

And she believes that trust is the most important aspect of patient care.

"A relationship based on trust is a long lasting one, so I believe this is a key component to every appointment," she said. "I always start with a conversation before discussing the main reason for the appointment. I end by reviewing what we discussed, our plans, and any changes in medication or follow-up instructions. I want to make sure to answer all of your questions."

Dr. Indorkar enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
