Rhian was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but she has lived in the Upper Peninsula long enough to confidently declare that "Yoopers are the kindest and most welcoming people around."

Drawn by the opportunity to help others in their time of need and by her love for science, she pursued a career in family medicine.

"Family medicine allows me to care for people across their entire life span and build meaningful relationships," she said.

Like her Yooper neighbors, appointments with Rhian are warm, welcoming and non-judgmental.

She is married to a teacher and the couple has a dog named Lambeau. In her free time she likes running, reading and gardening.

She is a member at All Saints Church and in addition to being left handed, she has a degree in community health education to pair with her doctorate.
