Dr. Kinzinger grew up on a farm in central Illinois. He considers it a special privilege to have returned to his roots and serve people from Central Illinois and the Midwest.
Dr. Kinzinger has a particular interest in orthopedic trauma for adults and children. This includes various injuries resulting from simple slips and falls to motor vehicle accidents and other high-energy trauma. He also sees patients with complications from orthopedic trauma surgery, including nonunions and malunions.
Additionally, he performs total hip, partial and total knee replacements. He states, "Joint replacement and trauma surgery go hand in hand. The lessons learned on each side definitely improve the process of the other." Dr. Kinzinger is pleased to offer outpatient hip and knee replacement surgeries to the appropriate patients. Outpatient hip and knee replacement procedures have shown that patients tend to experience accelerated recovery and rehabilitation progression.
However, Dr. Kinzinger never loses sight that his role as a physician is not just about the body itself. "I can interact with and help individuals and their families during some of the most difficult times of their lives and put them on the road to recovery," he says. "There's something very special about that."
Dr. Kinzinger and his wife have been blessed with three children. He is an avid outdoorsman. In his spare time, he enjoys farming with his family, hunting, and fishing.
