Patient care is a top priority for Dr. Robert Bevill and his staff. Dr. Bevill's two family medicine locations recently integrated with OSF HealthCare.

"I am very excited to work with OSF HealthCare due to our shared Mission of caring for others with compassion and integrity," he said.

Having grown up in central Illinois in the towns of Sunnyland and Washburn, Dr. Bevill enjoys small-town living with access to the conveniences of a larger city.

Dr. Bevill comes from a medical family – his mother is a registered nurse, two sisters work in hospitals and his son is a urology resident at the University of Iowa. "The opportunity to help others in a hands-on, personal manner was my attraction to health care," he said.

He decided to focus on family medicine to be able to provide a complete and broad array of services to his patients. "I love the continuity of care that I can provide, as well as the relationships I have developed with patients – some spanning 20 to 30 years," he said.

His approach to care is in a one-on-one setting, allowing for time to adequately meet the patient's needs. "There is a lot of listening that takes place as well as communication to formulate a plan to move forward," Dr. Bevill said. "Follow-up interaction is often scheduled to personally discuss test findings as well as to interpret medical reports."

Dr. Bevill is married to his high school sweetheart. They have four adult children and three grandchildren.

When not working, Dr. Bevill enjoys bicycling, golfing, running, camping, canoeing and fishing. His community involvement includes serving as a long-time board member of the WD Boyce Council of Boy Scouts of America. He's also active in his church, playing handbells and upright bass in the church band.
