Joining OSF Medical Group – Allergy & Immunology in Bloomington has been enlightening for Dr. Kocur, who had previously worked in a solo practice.
"The guidance, flexibility and independence provided by OSF HealthCare in working for a group that values the needs of patients first has been very rewarding," he said.
Always intrigued by the life sciences and how the human body functioned, Dr. Kocur chose to specialize in allergy because he suffered from allergies as a child. "The beauty of the practice of allergy is that it combines applying knowledge and logic to come up with a solution for the symptoms of a patient," he said.
When meeting with a patient, it is Dr. Kocur's goal to customize a treatment plan designed to improve the quality of the patient's life.
When not working, Dr. Kocur enjoys golf, sports, cars, reading, cigars and fishing. He and his wife, Concetta, have three adult children – two sons and one daughter.
