Sarah Shoemaker is looking forward to providing midwifery services to communities that otherwise would have limited access to midwifery care. Taking care of patients and making them feel valued and heard is why she is in the health care field.
With over two decades in central Illinois, she looks forward to offering midwifery care locally.
Sarah’s appointments are characterized by building genuine connections, spending time getting to know patients, bringing laughter and creating a safe space for them to open up. Her journey into medicine was inspired by transformative experiences with midwives during her own births, solidifying her commitment to women's health and midwifery.
Raised in the Chicago suburbs, Sarah now shares her life with her brilliant husband, Shawn, three wonderful kids and a pampered dog named Denali. Beyond her role as a midwife, Sarah actively engages with her community, cherishing family time, church involvement and expressing her love for travel, reading, musicals and puzzle-solving.
