I approach patient care with compassion and empathy toward all. I feel privileged to be part of other’s joy and suffering and to be able to support their needs at any moment.
Shelley wants you to know that you will not feel rushed when in her care.
“I want patients to feel like they have my undivided attention,” she said. “I want them to know that what they say matters to me.”
As a child, Shelley felt a calling to take care of others. When her grandmother became chronically ill, she knew she was meant to care for her.
Within her specialty of reconstructive surgery, she’s been able to care for people who have had breast reconstructions after a mastectomy.
“Breast cancer patients are truly my heart,” Shelley said. “I feel that’s where I need to concentrate my talents.”
Shelley was raised in East Peoria and has three adult children. She loves volunteering, live music and being on the water.
