I take a holistic approach to patient care and treatment.
Shoji Samson, DO, is passionate about serving the families he encounters in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with honesty, integrity and excellence.
"Neonatology is an ever-growing field that continues to push boundaries in pursuit of caring for premature babies whose bodies were not ready for the outside world and need help and support to survive. Seeing them overcome the tough obstacles that come with being premature and graduate from the NICU is awe-inspiring," he said.
Dr. Samson was inspired by his mother, a nurse of over 30 years, to pursue a career in medicine.
"The selfless stories she would tell about caring for her patients is what sparked my interest. The bravery, strength and care she demonstrates not only as a nurse, but as a person, is inspirational, and I could only dream of being a fraction of the provider that she is," he said.
