My goal is to help my patients achieve optimal health and a comfortable, productive life by educating them and developing a collaborative relationship.
Dr. Prathipati grew up in southern India where her grandfather worked as a pharmacist, inspiring her to pursue medicine. She pursued family medicine as her specialty because it provides for a diversity in ages and conditions to treat.
She believes her job is about more than simply treating a patient, it is about building a trusting relationship. She promotes healthy lifestyles and disease prevention, and she believes her compassion and approach to care match perfectly with the OSF HealthCare Mission to serve with the greatest care and love.
"My goal is to help my patients achieve optimal health and a comfortable, productive life by educating them and developing a collaborative relationship," she said. "I believe in providing my patients and their families with personalized health care. I listen to what my patients have to say, educate and involve them in their plan of care and keep them informed them along the way."
She is married to a native of central Illinois. In her free time she enjoys interior decoration, music, swimming and traveling. She is also a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.
