Dr. Khan developed his love of medicine as he grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, the son of two physicians. He enjoys getting to know his patients and helping them.
"I chose family medicine as a specialty because of the relationships it allows me to form with my patients and their families," he said. "When you can gain the trust of your patient, you can help achieve better health outcomes.
"My approach to care is really a team model. I like to have my patients be involved in their healthcare and enjoy working together on the best treatment option."
He loves the close-knit Rockford community, the medical resources available in the area and the culture and Mission of OSF HealthCare to serve with the greatest care and love.
He is married. He and his wife have two children – a boy and a girl. He can speak conversational Spanish and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and trying new cuisines.
