My patient’s health is my priority, and I aim for a more holistic approach that involves the entire care team. I want my patients to know that I am here to take the journey with them.
Dr. Floyd values the OSF HealthCare Mission to provide compassionate care to the communities it serves. She enjoys collaborating with talented colleagues, partners and residents on a daily basis.
During appointments, Dr. Floyd takes time with patients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
“I believe in empowering patients and their families,” she said. “Their voices should be the most important in their care.”
Dr. Floyd was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after observing physicians while growing up. Her love for the sciences and a desire to see more diversity in medicine led her to surgery. Choosing Surgical Oncology due to personal experiences with family members dealing with cancer, Dr. Floyd is passionate about the multidisciplinary care involved.
Raised as an "Army brat" and spending most of her life in Georgia, she cherishes her family, which includes her mom, two sisters, and a brother. Outside of medicine, she enjoys baking and runs a dessert business, while also supporting local markets, businesses and arts in her community.
