I believe our health is shaped by many factors, which is why I consider the whole person when treating an ailment. I focus on understanding not just the symptoms, but also the physical, emotional and social aspects of a patient’s life, ensuring care for optimal healing and well-being.
Taylor chose to work for OSF HealthCare because she values the organization’s commitment to compassionate care, a principle she deeply shares. At OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center and in Dixon, she enjoys the strong sense of community and is happy to serve patients with a personalized approach.
During an appointment with Taylor, patients are encouraged to share their story first, as she believes they are the most knowledgeable about their own health. As an active listener, she involves her patients in decisions regarding their health care, discussing the benefits and risks to ensure they can make informed choices.
Inspired by the compassion of a nurse who cared for her younger brother during an injury, Taylor decided to pursue medicine. She chose gastroenterology for its diversity, combining outpatient, inpatient and endoscopy work, while playing a vital role in preventive care.
Outside of medicine, Taylor is married with two children and enjoys volunteering as a 4-H leader, a role that connects her to her farming roots.
