Taylor has always been interested in science and medicine.
"I saw it as an opportunity to help others who need it most," she said. "It's very fulfilling for me."
What she loves most about her specialty is helping people get back to accomplishing everyday tasks many take for granted.
"Orthopedic surgery gives me a chance to help people regain their independence," Taylor said.
Taylor grew up in Aurora, Illinois. She enjoys playing golf with her husband, drawing and trying out new recipes.
