As an otolaryngologist, Dr. Loughlin enjoys caring for patients of all ages. I like the fact that I can contribute to improving someone's overall health every day, he said. Dr. Loughlin likes working for OSF HealthCare for several reasons. No patient is ever denied care, and that's really important to me, he said. I also enjoy working with an exceptional ear, nose and throat clinical care team and having access to other specialists such as audiologists and allergists, so we can provide comprehensive care to every patient. My approach to care is to simply listen to my patients and then work together to achieve the best clinical outcomes for them, he said. Aside from practicing medicine, Dr. Loughlin likes doing home improvement projects, cycling, water sports and skiing. Dr. Loughlin is married to his wife, Judy, and together they have one son in college. They also have another family member - a 7-month-old mastiff.
