I form partnerships with patients in which compassionate, holistic, evidence-based care leads to optimal health and wellness. My goal is to educate and encourage patients to become responsible for their health by working with the health care team.
Tonya was born in Monmouth, Illinois, and grew up nearby on a farm in Carman. Country living and helping others are what make her happy.
"I worked at the Monmouth Rural Health Clinic for a few years as a registered nurse. It's a small community with a big heart," Tonya said. "I enjoy being able to care for families and make real connections. Caring for others comes naturally to me."
She enjoys Family Medicine because it allows her to partner with people of different backgrounds and ages, helping with mental, physical and spiritual wellness.
"I like to get to know my patients, I want you to feel comfortable with me, and I encourage patients to offer feedback and take full participation in their care," Tonya said. "Having good communication and comfort allows us to work together to keep you healthy."
Tonya is married and has three children and two grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, sewing, bike riding, travel and spending time with my family.
