Dr. Watson chose to work with OSF HealthCare due to its faith-based Mission, which mirrors his commitment to addressing patients’ needs in the Mendota community. He believes that an appointment should be both comfortable and purposeful, creating a space where health concerns are addressed collaboratively. He ensures his patients have the information needed to make informed decisions together.

His decision to pursue family medicine with obstetrics stemmed from his desire to care for entire families and build lasting relationships. He enjoys the diverse aspects of family medicine and caring for patients through life’s ups and downs. Raised in Pontiac, Dr. Watson attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford and was involved in the Rural Medical Education (RMED) Program.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new places, hiking and participating in sports, including providing medical coverage for high school and collegiate teams. He is also passionate about improving his Spanish and has spent time in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he continues to visit regularly.
