An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I would like my patients to stay young physically and mentally, especially the elderly population so they can enjoy the later phase of their lives independently.
Dr. Mathur has been practicing in the Evergreen Park area for over 30 years and loves the diverse population of patients he sees.
"I would describe my appointments as friendly. My goal is to get to know my patients well, and do my best to meet their expectations," he said.
Dr. Mathur was drawn to medicine because he wanted to help others who were suffering from different ailments. Internal medicine interested him because "it is a multisystem approach to care and I love investigating and solving complex medical conditions."
Dr. Mathur is married to Dr. Hema Mathur, who also is an internal medicine physician with OSF Medical Group. When not working, Dr. Mathur enjoys music, singing and playing tennis.
